A Day in the life of ME!

My life has changed drastically since becoming a mom. I love it! The daily tasks have completely changed. Every family needs a routine, and it got me thinking about mine. Thus leading to a "day in the life of.." post.
Monday (yesterday):
MORNING
Wake up at about 8:30. Baby starts off in crib but cries then gets put in mommys bed. So shes my alarm clock.
Get baby breakfast. Usually put her in her highchair with cereal and yo gabba gabba on the tv, which keeps her entertained for a few minutes so i can take a quick shower.
- get baby changed and dressed. Get me dressed and ready.
-Put baby in living room with toys while i wash the left over dirty dishes.
-Run errands.

AFTERNOON

-Make baby and I lunch.
-Sweep and vacuum mess from baby eating lunch.
-Laundry, laundry, laundry.
-Naptime for baby (and nap for me if need be)
-make bread (I dont buy bread. i make my own to save money, and its healthier. I also dont eat bread, just hubby and baby, so it lasts pretty long)

EVENING
-Feed baby snack when she wakes up
-Start preparing dinner for when hubby gets home
-play with baby and change diapers throughout day
-Make dinner
-Eat dinner with family
-Family home evening
-Relax and watch tv with hubby
-Put baby to sleep
-Quality time with hubby
-Goodnight!

Day of Tidy.

My husband doesnt work Mondays so we devoted our day to cleaning!
Even though we have a dishwasher, we wash our dishes by hand. I wash, he dries and puts away. Its a fun bonding time! We like it. So we did dishes, cleaned living room and kitchen, organized babys clothes, washed laundry, and we are matching up socks as we speak. Fun day!
For breakfast my hubby made me a veggie omelet. YUM! He makes super duper omelets! So just eggs with veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, etc).
Lunch was wild rice and veggies. Dinner was chili without meat. Turned out pretty good! Made my hubby a quesidilla to go with it, im not going to make him diet as strict as i am. :)
Dessert was 2 of my sugar-free chocolates. Savored every bite!
My goal for tomorrow is to drink a LOT more water! Im not good about drinking water, i try, but i cant seem to get down as much as i should. I have a water bottle that i carry around and try to keep refilling. Im thinking about getting some crystal light packets to make it a bit more fun for me!
Anyways, going to weigh myself tomorrow to see if theres any progress!!

The "Needs" and "Never Used"

To all of you soon-to-be moms...
I was cleaning my baby girls room the other day, and i started thinking about all the things i got when i was pregnant that were a HUGE waste of money! Also the things i got that are LIFESAVERS!! So i thought i would help out the pregnant women out there and give them a heads up. Obviously this is all just my opinion, but i made some lists for fun.

Do Not Need:
-Expensive "pretty" diapers and wipes (just buy bulk and cheap, they are for the most part all the same, and they hold poop, they dont need to be pretty)
-Bouncers (we used ours but for such a short amount of time. they are so expensive, just buy the next stage up and get a walker)
-Baby Carrier (Its an awesome idea, it just takes so much time and wrestling to get your baby in the carrier, you wont have enought time or energy to use it)
-Wipes and Bottle warmers (will NEVER use!)

Needs:
-Boppy Pillow (A FOR SURE buy. Especially for breastfeeding moms! It saves you a lot of strain and back pain, Worth every penny!)
-Lanolin Cream (again for breastfeeding moms, will save you from a ton of pain!)
-Light and Music player for side of crib (she is totally entertained by it! and puts her to sleep, love it!)
-Baby Swing (YES!! for the first few months my baby slept in it all night! it would rock her and keep her asleep, and gave me some free time to clean and rest. must have!)
-Books! Books! Books! (she LOVES reading books and looking at all the pictures! especially the touch and feel books)

Anyways, these are just a few, i will add more as i think of them!
Any of you have some Needs and Dont Needs??

Traditions!

My husband and I find traditions to be very important. We try to keep consistancy, especially when it comes to regular Scripture study and prayer. Just recently we've started FHE with our little 8 month old. We sing primary songs with her, and show her pictures of Jesus. She loves and recognizes the family time. We also make sure to have a formal sit down dinner at the table with her highchair pulled up next to us. I have no doubt that she is retaining all these things. There are all kinds of fun traditions too! We are trying to come up with some fun ones to do with our baby... like going to be pumpkin patch, or Christmas gingerbread houses!! Its what makes life so exciting, having things to look forward to. What are some of your guys's family traditions?? I love comments!! Lets hear it! (Baby dying easter eggs)

Expanding Family

My husband and I have always wanted quite a few kids. We love the idea of having the daily chaos of a herd of children at our feet. We have one baby, she is 8 months old. We have never done this before. When is too soon to start trying for another baby? We want a lot of kids, might as well start now right? Should we wait till she is older to have another one? There are so many variables when it comes to bringing another life into our world. What do you guys think? how far apart are your children??

Recap!

Well... its been over 2 years since I have posted anything! Boy oh boy has life changed! First of all... i am now a MOMMY!!! I have the sweetest little baby girl. She is now 8 months old. Ive been married for almost 2.5 years. We have moved! Living in a new home. Hubby has a new job! Life in general has been turned upside down and we've been showered with countless blessings!! Now my days are filled with stinky diapers and "creative" dinner making. Im finally finding a way to juggle cleaning, cooking, and taking care of a baby while keeping my sanity intact. As far as cleaning goes... Ive definitely had to up my game! I now have to vacuum daily, Sweep the kitchen at least twice a day, and constant gathering of toys toys toys! Having a baby (who can recently crawl) is messy business! Now to talk about my favorite daily task I've been blessed with... being a mommy!! I have the most perfect little girl. She is so much fun, and has the sweetest personality. Shes my very best friend! I dont even remember life before having a baby. Im also breastfeeding, which for all of you who have experienced it will know, is a whole job on its own! I am extremely blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom. Being a mom is what ive aspired to be my whole life. I love it! Anyway, thats a brief recap of the life of our little family. Thanks all for stopping by!

4th of July!

Jason and I had a busy, but fun, 4th of July! We went to church and watched the nursery kids. Had a BBQ with his family, then went and watched the parade. It was so fun... Bryan, Jess, and the kids were all there! Joshua loved all the candy. Then we had another BBQ in the park, then waited there for the fireworks to start! It was awesome! Jason definitely made it a memorable first 4th in Great Falls.
